3) Q: How much does it cost to promote my business on HoodFind?
A: Right now, all levels of our service are FREE. In the future, we will always maintain a basic free service that allows for a limited number of listings per business in addition to our premium paid accounts. Please note that you would be informed well in advance and would always have the option to stop using the service before any payment would be required. More details can be found in our Terms of Use:

4) Q: How do I register my business for the first time?
A: If your business is not on HoodFind yet, click here to register now. After confirmation of your new account, you can begin to post listings offered by your business that are viewable to all HoodFind users. The entire process to set up an account from scratch takes less than 10 minutes.

5) Q: My business appears on HoodFind but I have not registered. What does this mean?
A: Your business has a "Find" - a product, service or an employee that has been posted by one or more HoodFind users. Search for your business on HoodFind, click the name of your business, and you will then see a button that says "Are You the Owner or Manager of This Business?" on your business promotion page. Clicking that button will allow you to complete the registration of your business and take "ownership" of your account.

6) Q: My business has already been registered by someone else. What should I do?
A: Please send us an e-mail at support@hoodfind.com and we will help you.

7) Q: We have more than one location. How should we register?
A: At this time, each location needs to be registered separately, including different e-mail addresses. However, feel free to include the same contact information.

8) Q: Can I register my business in more than one category?
A: Yes, but it's to your benefit to be as specific as possible. Otherwise, search results including your business may not be as effective. But if you are a florist and also a martini bar, then by all means, please say so! However, please keep in mind that if we find that your company or listing has little or no relation with a particular category, we may remove the listing.

9) Q: How secure is the HoodFind website?
A: We employ the latest in SSL encryption technology for all of your registration data. To verify, you will see a small lock icon and “https” in the url of all registration pages.

10) Q: How private is our information on HoodFind?
A: We will not share your personal contact information to any 3rd party for unsolicited marketing purposes. For further information, please view our Privacy Policy:

11) Q: Can I edit or delete my business profile?
A: Through the control panel located under “Your Account”, you will see options to edit your business profile with a click of a button.

A: In a nutshell, nothing illegal, vulgar or defamatory in nature or that implies false advertising or impersonation. Please see Section #7 in the HoodFind Terms of Use for further details and penalties.

A: Your ranking and reputation will suffer if you post the following, and we reserve the right to remove your profile if we deem it’s necessary to protect the integrity of the Site. The list below will be updated from time-to-time so please check back with us;

16) Q: How long does it take for my listings to appear?
A: Your listings appear instantaneously after hitting the “Post” button.

17) Q: How long will listings remain active?
A: You can control the length of time the listing will appear in search results yourself. A listing can be as short as one day. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about old listings still appearing in search results. The maximum that recurring listings will remain active is 60 days.

18) Q: Is there a maximum number of listings?
A: Yes. Currently, the maximum number of active listings per account is 10.

19) Q: Can I edit, relist or delete a listing?
A: Through the control panel located under “Your Account”, you will see options to edit, pause, relist or delete your listings.

20) Q: How many pictures can I post?
A: You can post up to three images on your business promotion page and currently one image per listing. This also could include an image representing a coupon or your logo. JPEG,GIF,PNG and BNP image file formats are acceptable.

21) Q: Can users leave comments or rate a business?
A: Users will be able to leave specific comments per listing and rate each find as "hoodFind!" (thumbs up) or a "hoodWink" (thumbs down). Users can always send an e-mail to abuse@hoodfind.com to report a business that is placing a deceptive or prohibited ad and we will deal with the offending business appropriately.

22) Q: Can I track the success of my listings?
A: You can always include a special name, number or code in your listing or instruct your customers that they must bring a printed copy of the listing. Later this year, we plan to release a service where you can track your page views, "click-throughs", rank per category, etc.

23) Q: What cities does HoodFind serve?
A: We are currently in Chicago only, but we plan to offer more cities shortly.

24) Q: I know of a product, service or person that should be featured on HoodFind. What can I do?
A: Please go to our Suggest a Great Find page via the link on the toolbar, fill out some details, and we'll post it!

25) Q: I saw a Find yesterday but it's not showing up today. Why?
A:HoodFind is a dynamic, real-time platform. Once that Find expires, it will no longer appear in the search results.

26) Q: I saw a listing or a comment that is inaccurate, deceptive or offensive. What can I do?
A: If you encounter abuse on our site in any form, please e-mail us at abuse@hoodfind.com.

27) Q: I see “Alpha” by the HoodFind logo. What does that mean?
A: It’s a common designation for any website that welcomes testing by the community during its initial phase of development. Please feel free to shoot us a message with any thoughts on how to improve the site at: feedback@hoodfind.com.
